Griddle Whiz
Batter Blaster is organic pancake and waffle batter... in a can. Sounds dicey, but the ingredients check out:

Filtered water
Organic wheat flour (unbleached)
Organic cane sugar
Organic whole egg solids
Organic soybean powder
Sodium lactate (lactic acid from beet sugar)
Dicalcium phosphate and Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) (leavening agents)
Organic rice bran extract propellant

Interesting. It looks like our Whole Foods carries it -- my curiosity will probably end up getting the better of me. The mind reels at the pancake design possibilities...

Cooking for an Audience
Our kitchen window sits low above the sink and countertop, and looks out on the entry corridor. Earlier (being alone), I decided to make myself a tuna melt (did have plans for Indian, but it was just too hot to futz that much).

So I open the can of tuna, next to the sink. I glance out the window, and see the neighbor's McFly doppelganger, staring up at me from our porch, head cocked and eyes wide. Soon the little grey tiger is right behind him, watching and sniffing the air. And then of course it didn't take long for Elli and Elmo to trot in, licking lips and chattering hopefully.

Aside from making me giggle, it raised two questions. One: how do I generate that kind of interest in piscine product in the resident human population? And two: if fish is brain food, and our cats get some in their food daily... well.

Purely Coincidental, No Obsession Here.
Harry Potter Sock Yarns, by German company Opal. Out in Fall (I'm assuming in conjuction with the release of Half-Blood Prince).

Cute, but no Hermione? Hedwig is my favorite.
