A few weeks after we arrived in Sacramento, we took a little trip to the coast for our first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean (both oceans in one year - how lucky are we!). It was 80F and sunny here in the valley, and we had no reason to think it would be otherwise in San Francisco only ninety miles away. But... it felt like it was about 50F, and you can see that the clouds, wind, and mist were conspiring against us in our summer clothes. Next time we'll check the weather first.
